Caritas Youth is united to promote harmony for development

Caritas Pakistan organized 4th Annual Youth Peace Camp from August 16 – 19, 2018 in Murree. 35 participants attended from three Catholic dioceses of Pakistan included Faisalabad, Lahore and Multan. This youth peace camp allows Caritas Pakistan’s youth peace committees from different districts to engage in dialogue and conflict transformation activities based on peace education and intercultural learning.

At the end of the camp, one year Action plans were also developed by the participants to replicate the knowledge and learning. 3 Catholic Priests from Diocese of Lahore, Diocesan Executive Secretaries from CPL, CPIR, CPK and CPF along with Executive Director of Caritas Pakistan Mr. Amjad Gulzar were present there. Team from National Secretariat also participated. Mr. Amer Anwer along with Diocesan Project officers from CPM, CPL and CPF gave their inputs during the facilitation of the course. Caritas means love; peace exists where love exists. We believe in equality, solidarity and working together for development. We are very much sensitized about our environment and ambitious to plant one million trees by the end of 2019. If we want to make peace in the world then we have to start with ourselves. Let’s be united to create a peaceful and prosperous society” said Mr. Amjad Gulzar.
