Caritas Pakistan is a social wing of Catholic Church in Pakistan, all the provinces has a Diocesan offices. It draws its inspiration from Jesus Christ’s command to love God and to love our neighbors, and is rooted in the social doctrine of the Catholic Church.
All the Diocesan units were actively working in all their respective areas by implementing different development & Emergency integrated projects, programs and capacity building initiatives. Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad is one of the Diocesan unit and is actively working in all the backward and deserving areas under the kind supervision of His Excellency Bishop Dr. Indrias Rehmat (Bishop of Faisalabad Diocese) & Charismatic leadership of Mr. Aneel Mushtaq (Diocesan Executive Secretary-Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad).
According to the geographical location of Faisalabad Diocese, Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad covers seven districts namely; Faisalabad, Chinniot, Jhang, Okara, Toba-Tek Sing, Pakpattan & Jaranwala. It has three regions namely; Shaiwal, Gojra & Faisalabad, all these districts and regions covers 29 parishes.
To support the deserving and vulnerable communities Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad is actively working under all the thematic areas of the organization. To address the current situation of the deprived communities the following thematic areas were covered under different projects; Emergencies, Disaster Risk Reduction, Livelihood & Food Security, Water Sanitation & Hygiene, Cross cutting issues 1. Peace and Social Harmony 2. Climate Change 3. Environment 4. Gender 5. Child Protection 6. Person with Disability all these initiatives were taken at grass root level to change the miserable and backward situation of the communities.
