Strengthening Youngsters for Community Development

A three days workshop under “Youth for Peace” program was organized by Caritas Pakistan Karachi from 26-28th September at Nafeesa Research and Training Center. A group of 16 youngsters belonging from different parishes were fully capacitated to play their part of modeling the nation in positive manner.

Mr. Mansha Noor (Executive Secretary CPK), Mr. Kashif Anthony Javed, from (NCJP), Dr. Denial Bashir (Jesus Youth), Mr. John Rehmat and Mr. Sarfraz Anwar (Diocesan program officers CPK) were the resource persons and facilitated in conducting different modules including Personality Development, Youth for Peace Building and Community Development, Leadership & Conflict Management, Youth projects & initiatives and Communication and Report Writing.

Different activities were also held with the objective to impart skills and knowledge by ensuring equal participation of the youth members and their commitment of learning. “We never thought about this kind of training. This was really good experience of life as we came here with empty bags but we are going back with beautiful ideas, suggestion and direction for future to work for promotion of peace and community development.” said Ms. Shanel (Participant) while sharing her experience of the training.

“The Youth of the nation predicts the future of the nation but besides this, youth is also our present and for better tomorrow, there is great need to capacitate the youth for developing good leadership qualities for development of the community & the nation” said Mr. Mansha Noor, while motivating the participants and appreciated their engagement in the workshop by presenting them certificates as a token of encouragement.
