Empowerment of Small Farmers through “Farmer Field Schools”

The farmer beneficiaries from 20 villages of Sargodha and Khushab under SAFBIN (Smallholder Adaptive farming and Biodiversity Network) program were oriented this September, about the benefits of implanted crops in their agriculture lands relating to the research trials and the data collection of experimentation by using equipments of the Farmer Field School (FFS) Kits.

The FFS kits were distributed among smallholder and they were teached and capacitated about its use in agriculture analysis and to solve problems related to the crops research trials independently and efficiently. Village Resource persons (VRPs) of sargodha and Khushab empowered the farmhand of their targeted villages to achieve desired objectives effectively. The Smallholders also shared their great experience and work in all time guidance of their VRPs.
