Food distribution for people trapped in floods

Shahzad Boorat, President of Disaster Management Committee (DMC) Shahbaz Goth along with volunteer distributed biryani (rice dish) among 40 families affected by rain on 30th August at Ahmaed Bohri Goth. The team also conducted the need assessment of the affected houses damages.

Caritas Pakistan Karachi also distributed biryani among 93 families on 30th of August, 2020 at Layri Sector 50-51, Khuda Ki Basti areas of Sarjani Town, of St. Michael’s Parish of Archdiocese of Karachi. The volunteers of Layri had requested Caritas for urgent support of cooked food and drinking water for flood affected families.

Mr. Javed Iqbal, Social Mobilizer, with help of Caritas volunteers Ms. Shazra , Mr.Muzamil Rashid and Ms. Bushra distributed cooked food among 93 affected families at door steps of the families.

Caritas team also distributed Biryani (rice dish) and 06 litter water bottle among 90 families on 29th of August, 2020 at Shahbaz Goth, area of St. Thomas’s Parish, Karachi. Shahbaz Goth, located at Super Highway, was drowned in 5 to 6 feet of water after the dam overflew due to torrential rain on 27th August, 2020.

In Quetta, Caritas Pakistan distributed 50 food packages among flood affected families of village Zarwah Bangulzai District Kachhi Bolan on Aug. 25.
