Disinfectant gates installed in Faisalabad
communicationTwo disinfection walkthrough gates were installed at Holy Rosary Warispura Parish and Cathedral of St. Peters & Paul Cathedral Parish to prevent COVID-19 outbreak in communities.
Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad took the initiatives on June 15 and June 20, 2020 respectively under supervision of Bishop Indrias Rehmat and Aneel Mushtaq (Executive Secretary Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad).
The purpose of installing these Disinfecting COVID-19 walkthrough gates was to ensure safety of worshippers and to sensitize them about using sanitizers in daily routine.
Corona Screening devices were also distributed in three parishes including Warispura, Bishops House and 7 Chak under COVID-19 Response Project of Caritas Pakistan. Bishop Indrias Rehmat recommended these parishes due to huge Church gatherings.
Fr. Waseem Walter (Parish priest) of Chak no.7 received the device on June 13. Fr. Pascal Polus (Parish Priest) Warispura received on 15th June. Fr. Abid Tanveer (Vicar General) Diocese of Faisalabad received on 20th June. The priests were expressed their gratitude to Caritas for this urgent need of the time.
