COVID-19 relief efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province
communicationCaritas Pakistan Islamabad-Rawalpindi provided food package (ration) among 25 deserving families in Nowshera on 29 June 2020. Fr. Shahbaz led the prayer and distributed food package among the most deserving families. IEC material was also distributed.
In District Sargodha, CPIR providing food package (ration) among 40 deserving families during Sunday service in parish 36 SB. Fr. Tariq Bhatti led the prayer and distributed food package among the most deserving families. Village Resource Persons Maryam Younis and Rizwan Farhat also distributed IEC material door to door on 28 June. All these families lost their source of income due to COVID 19 lock down.
Meanwhile the death toll from coronavirus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has reached 914 as 24 more residents, including a senior doctor, died of the virus.
