Inauguration of Vocational Skill Center

On February 24, 2025, Caritas Pakistan Karachi inaugurated a Vocational Skill Development Center at Godhar Camp, St. Michael’s Parish, Archdiocese of Karachi, under the Humanitarian Support for Flood Response and Recovery in Pakistan Project. The center aims to help flood-affected women and young girls by providing training in sewing, cutting, and other income-generating skills. This will enable them to support their families financially. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Rev. Fr. Barnabas George, Parish Priest of St. Michael’s Parish, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Mansha Noor, Executive Secretary of Caritas Pakistan Karachi, as the Special Honorable Guest. Members of the Disaster Management Committee (DMC), teachers, women, girls, and Caritas Pakistan staff were also present at the event.
