Training on Rescue and First Aid in Sialkot

 

A training on Rescue and First Aid was organized in collaboration with Punjab Emergency Services Rescue 1122 on September 22, 2020 with 40 DMC members of five villages at village Hanjli Mehtabpur, Pasrur, District Sialkot. Rev. Fr. Derek Lal (Parish Priest – Pasrur Parish) offered prayer at the start of the training.

Mr. Qamar and Mr. Khalil (trainers from Rescue 1122) illustrated the working of Rescue 1122 and how they respond to calls on helpline 1122 for any kind of emergency situation. They requested all the participants to use this helpline very carefully as misuse may cause loss of many lives.

The trainers demonstrated how to provide first aid, Basic Life Support (CPR), fracture treatment, bit of insects like snake, burns treatment and safe transportation of any affected person.

Rev. Fr. Derek Lal appreciated CPL and Rescue 1122 for organizing this training and wished to organize this training at parish level. He also promised to share information of first aid during his sermon. Mr. Javed Maish (Field officer – Caritas Pakistan Lahore) thanked the team of Rescue 1122 for facilitating the training and Rev. Fr. Derek Lal for his cooperation and attending the training. He urged all participants to disseminate learned information to other volunteers and community members for saving lives.
