Training of Trainers on “Together We Can Stop Coronavirus” campaign

Caritas Pakistan Karachi organized a Training of Trainers with Staff and Volunteers on prevention methods and precautionary measures under the COVID-19 Project” Together We can Stop Coronavirus”. The Training took place at St. Philips’ Parish House with 45 volunteers from different areas.


Dr. Daniel Bashir was the resource person of the event, while Mr. Pervaiz Bhatti (Human Rights Commission Pakistan), Ms. Nighat Rasheed, (Skincare Consultant Oriflamme), Mr. Kahif Javed, Mr. Noman Peter (NCJP) and Mr. Brian were invited as the special guests. Caritas Pakistan Karachi’s whole staff was also present along with Mr. Mansha Noor (Executive Secretary). Caritas team provided face masks to all participants who also sanitized their hands.


Fr. Shahid Boota (Assistant Parish Priest St. Philips’ Parish) led the opening prayer. Mr. Mansha Noor said volunteers are the backbone of Caritas and ensure the presence of Caritas all the time in affected areas. He urged them to follow SOPs, use face masks, physical distancing and prevention measures.


“Corona has decreased but not ended yet. The cases are still being reported and presented preventive measures for conducting door to door visits. Share your learning with others,” he said. Mr. Sarfraz Anwar took the session on 10 techniques of a proper Hand Washing.
