Formation of WASH committee in Shantinagar

District project officer Mr. Kashif Raza Gill conducted awareness raising session and formation of WASH committees on 17 March 2021 in Chak no 72/10.R Shantinagar district Khanewal. The purpose of the session was to aware community about effect of contaminated water on their health. 36 Participants, including men and women, joined the session.

The session started with prayers by Vocational training center student Shakeela Ashiq. District Project Officer Khanewal Mr. Kashif urged all to boil water before drinking to avoid stomach diseases. It concluded with formation of WASH committee. Mr.Rasheed told the participants about their area problems about health and importance of mineral and fresh water.DPO also told the precaution of COVID-19, and urged all to follow the SOP’s.
