Food aid for fisher folk amid lockdown

Caritas Pakistan distributed food hampers among Fisher Folk families to run their kitchen and feed their families during lock-down and high tide.

In response to COVID-19 outbreak, Caritas Pakistan Karachi distributed 25 food packages among the Fisher Folk families at Sommar Goth, Hawksbay, and District West on 21st of June, 2020 under our COVID-19 Emergency Response. Because of the Lock-down and high tide the fisher folk are forced to stay at home without income and stored food is getting short.

Mr. Ishaq member of Disaster Management Committee (DMC) thanked Caritas Karachi for providing food hamper to most deserving families. Our families can sustain 15 to 20 day with this dry ration, he said.
