Distribution of hygiene kits and awareness session in Karachi

Caritas Pakistan Karachi under their COVID-19 Emergency Response Project distributed the 25 Hygiene Kits on 22nd of July, 2020 at Khuda Ki Basti, area of St. Michael’s Parish of the Archdiocese of Karachi. The objective of the program was to help the most vulnerable and poor households amid COVID-19 lockdown.

An awareness session on health & Hygiene and hand washing was also held with women participants before the distribution. “53,000 Pakistani children under five die annually from diarrhoea due to contaminated water and sanitation. Awareness sessions are aimed at fighting the pandemic ,” said Mr. Mansha Noor Executive Secretary CPK. The printed IEC material of Caritas Pakistan about hand washing, Precautionary Measures against coronavirus was also distributed.
