250 Emergency kits distributed among Caritas Pakistan Staff, Diocesan Commissions

Caritas Pakistan distributed 250 coronavirus preventive kits among national and diocesan staff around the country as the number of infected people has risen to 1,938 with 26 deaths.

The purpose of these events was to prepare Caritas staff and other members of diocesan commissions to have preventive measures at work place for themselves and their families.

Mr. Amjad Gulzar read out the IEC material before distributing kits on April 1 at National Secretariat in Lahore.  The staff were asked to stand at a distance of 3 to 4 feet while each person was made to wear mask after using hand sanitizers.

On 27th March 2020, Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad distributed COVID-19 preventive kits among Caritas Faisalabad Staff,  Nuns,  Diocesan Education Comission and to the Bishop’s House. The distribution started after  Fr.  Bonnie Mendes prayed for the safety of all people around the world. Fr. Bonnie Mendes distributed kits among the beneficaries. He appriciated Mr. Aneel Mushtaq(Executive Secretary), Caritas Faisalabad and Caritas Pakistan team for taking this good initiative.

Caritas Pakistan Hyderabad also organized distribution of COVID-19 prevention kits for CPH staff and volunteers. His Excellency Bishop Samson Shukardin distributed the kits among staff and volunteers. His Excellency Bishop Samson Shukardin appreciated the Caritas Pakistan for considering the staff and volunteer’s safety first. A COVID -19 prevention kit was provided by CPH to Bishop house as well. His Grace Archbishop Dr Joseph Arshad Bishop of Islamabad Rawalpindi Diocese also distributed Corona virus protective kit among staff and volunteers of Caritas Pakistan Islamabad Rawalpindi.

Caritas Pakistan Multan Social Organizer distributing hand sanitizer and vitamin C among elderly persons and children in different villages of Chack Frazi UC district Muzaffargar, while Early Warning Teams spreading awareness using megaphone provided by CPM under AA project. DMC president Channan peer of chack 142 announced precautionary measure. CPM provided loud speakers in emergency kit under Disaster Risk Reduction project.
