Independence Day celebrated in Karachi

Caritas Pakistan Karachi jointly planted trees with Adventure Scout Group, Pakistan Emergency Response Learning Program and Pakistan Green Force to mark on 73rd Independent Day at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Karachi.

Fr. Saleh Diego, Vicar General of Archdioceses of Karachi, Mr. Syed Akhter Meer, Province Secretary of Sindh boys Scout Association and Mr. Mansha Noor Executive Secretary CPK joined Sister Julie M. Pacheco, (FC) for the cake cutting ceremony.

All the guests and participants gathered in the front of the monument of St. Patrick’s for flag hoisting ceremony. Scout groups presented guard of honor to all the guests.

Fr. Saleh Diego, Vicar General planted coconut tree at garden of the Cathedral under our One Million More Tree Plantation campaign with Mr. Mansha Noor, Executive Secretary and Mr. Syed Akhter Meer, Province Secretary of Sind. Boys Scout Association planted palm tree with Scouts Caritas Staffs and other guests.

The adventures scout group and Caritas Staffs planted 50 more Neem and glamor trees in ground of St. Patrick’s Cathedral for Greener Pakistan and fight against the Climate change and put Pope Francis Laudato Si in Action to save mother Earth for future generations.
