Seminar on Ecology and Tree Plantation Drive by Caritas Pakistan Karachi

On February 20, 2025, Caritas Pakistan Karachi, in collaboration with the Franciscan Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation Commission Karachi, organized a one-day seminar on “Ecology” to promote the care of our common home, Earth. The seminar was held at the convent with the Franciscan Sisters of the Heart of Jesus. Fr. Gul Shahzad OFM and Mr. Mansha Noor served as the facilitators for the session. As part of the event, a tree plantation drive was conducted under the “Caritas Plantation Campaign”. This initiative aimed to put Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’ into action, encouraging people to take care of the environment. Sister Ruth expressed her appreciation and gratitude to Fr. Gul Shahzad and Mansha Noor for their support and efforts in conducting the session and leading the tree plantation activity.
