Exchange and Learning Visit in Mariamabad


A team of Government Soil and Water Testing Laboratory from District Sheikhupura oriented the importance of soil and water testing in a meeting with participants of learning and exchange visit under SAFBIN program in Mariamabad, district Sheikhupura. Few local farmers also joined soil sampling session.

Laboratory technician from Soil and Water Testing Laboratory briefed about how to take soil samples from the agriculture land. Soil samples were taken from the allocated agriculture land to Caritas Pakistan Lahore for research work. Afterwards, fruit and shaded trees were planted on the border areas of said land. The participants together with local farmers planted guava, lemon, conocarpus, orange and neem plants on the border of allocated land. The team members of SAFBIN from Sargodha and Khushab also shared their experiences with other participants.
