Climate Action for Peace

Caritas Pakistan Multan observed the International peace day on 21st September by organizing a tree plantation event contributing in national campaign of “one million tree plantation” relating to the theme of the year 2019 which is “Climate Action”.

Around 60 students of Caritas Eco Green Club participated with a motivated spirit and held a peace walk by holding banners that is clearly indicating their enthusiastic way of playing their individual role in promoting social harmony nationwide.
Trees were planted in the ground of their school with a promise of protecting them and watering them regularly as a sign of their action in combating climate change.

“The theme draws attention to the importance of combating climate change as a way to protect and promote peace throughout the world” said Mr. Samuel Clement (Executive Secretary CPM).
