Sixth Annual Youth Camp at Dalwal

Caritas Pakistan organized three days event of 6th annual youth camp from 16th to 18th November, 2020 at Mission high school, Dalwal. Twenty Five youth members from Caritas Pakistan Lahore, Faisalabad and Islamabad/Rawalpindi were gathered to recognizing their potential and build volunteerism for nation and community development.

“We assure participation of youth in all our programs. We have energetic youngsters from various diocesan units who can build their competencies from the 6th annual youth camp and could further play their effective role in community development. We look forward that the youngsters will have a meaningful participation in this event” said Mr. Amjad Gulzar (Executive Director Caritas Pakistan) in his opening remarks.

Ms. Rabia Tariq (Program Officer DRR) facilitated the session “Youth leadership and career development” by explaining the qualities of the leaders and how the youth could adopt those qualities by recognizing their passion for building their career and further being a leader to work for the development of the community.

The next session on “Conflict Management” was facilitated by Ms. Sana Komal (Program Officer Social Harmony) who briefed about the causes of conflict generation in our personal and professional lives and what strategies and styles preferably to be followed for resolving and managing the situation as being a youth leader to promote social harmony in the society.

Session on “Role of youth in Social Harmony” was facilitated by Mr. Rafiq Inayat (Diocesan Project officer) who motivated the youth to adopt certain characteristics of being agent of social harmony to ensure harmonious environment at individual and community level. The youngsters later enjoyed the cultural night by presenting wonderful performances dioceses wise.

On the final day of the camp, Mr. Amer Anwer (National Program Coordinator) took session on Social Mobilization and SWOT analysis and also conducted different activities to build leadership and spirit of team work among the youngsters to play their effective role in community development. He concluded the session by suggesting the participants to develop and submit action plans of six months to the program coordinators (Social harmony) of all diocesan units. The camp concluded with distribution of certificates.
