Launching of SAFBIN Project

On January 23, 2025, Caritas Pakistan successfully hosted the Launch and Orientation Workshop for the Smallholder Adaptive Farming and Biodiversity Network (SAFBIN), marking a significant advancement in empowering smallholder farmers through adaptive farming techniques and biodiversity conservation.
The event began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a documentary showcasing SAFBIN’s achievements and a tableau honoring small farmers’ contributions to sustainable agriculture. Executive Director Amjad Gulzar emphasized SAFBIN’s role in enhancing climate resilience and improving smallholder farmers’ livelihoods.
Mr. Amir Irfan shared SAFBIN’s journey, emphasizing their success in boosting crop yields and enhancing farmers’ ability to adapt to climate change. The workshop brought together stakeholders to align with SAFBIN’s goals, reinforcing a shared commitment to sustainable development and ecological balance.
The event ended with closing remarks that reflected everyone’s shared hopes, followed by the distribution of souvenirs and a ceremonial cake-cutting, marking the day as a memorable occasion.
