National Community Development Course (6th Batch)

Caritas Pakistan is pleased to announce sixth Batch of National Community Development Course (NCDC 6th Batch) in Lahore keeping in view the needs and Challenges in Development sector of Pakistan especially focus on Community Development.


Introduction:
This course has been designed for the people who are directly involved with different communities and having the vision for participatory sustainable development in Pakistan. This training course has seven modules for the conceptual clarity of different Community Development approaches along with technical sessions on different issues which can helpful for community development. We will explore and discuss the new and trends on following topics;


Social Mobilization & Rural Development
Leadership & Conflict Management
Project Designing, Management & Budgeting
COVID-19 awareness raising and Mobilization
Communication & Social Media
Climate Change & Community Based Disaster Management
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
Community Exposure to Model Projects (In Rural Areas)


Course Objectives: “To provide participants with necessary knowledge, attitudes and skills in community development as a strategy for social transformation”

By the end of the course, the participants are expected to analyze the various theoretical frameworks and approaches in working with various stakeholders, within their own socio-political and economic contexts and in relation to their present and intended future involvements. They should also be able to appropriately and meaningfully translate development concepts and principles into strategic plans of action.


Methodology: Lectures, workshops, reflections, structured learning exercises and a field exposure in selected rural-urban poor communities where different projects ongoing and completed successfully completed.


Trainers: The Trainers are professionally qualified with vast multi- dimensions experienced in social development sector. They are experts in their fields with a background of conducting several trainings and courses all over the Pakistan.

Requirements for Admission: The applicant must submit the following:


1. Filled NCDC Application Form
2. 2 Passport Size Pictures
3. Letters of recommendation from organization, academic and research institutes heads.
