Caritas Celebrates World Education Day

World Education Day was commemorated in a number of institutes and organizations in Pakistan, highlighting the importance of education and its promotion throughout the world. Caritas Pakistan also highlighted the necessity of education for all and continues working for its access to the street children and dropouts.

Caritas Pakistan Multan (CPM) celebrated Education Day in all 14 Non-formal education centers in different districts including Multan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh and Bahawalnagar on 24 and 25 January, 2020. Speakers emphasized on the importance of education and Caritas contribution especially educating working and disadvantaged children.

The children were made aware about the essentiality of getting education for a sustainable future as Quality education is Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is also a tool to help achieve many other Goals such as poverty eradication, decent work and economic growth, reduced inequalities, improved health outcomes or gender equality.
