REEL Regenerative Cotton Program Orientation and Launch 2026

Caritas Pakistan officially launched the REEL Regenerative Cotton Program, supported by Cotton Connect, through a Project Orientation, Planning, and Launching Ceremony held at its National Secretariat. The event brought together 30 participants from various departments, including REEL Regenerative, SAFBIN, Education, and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), to strengthen coordination and prepare for project implementation.
The orientation introduced the project’s vision, objectives, and implementation strategy, focusing on regenerative agriculture, climate resilience, sustainable farming practices, farmer capacity building, demonstration plots, and field monitoring. Participants actively discussed implementation approaches and collaboration at the field level.
The program was officially inaugurated through a ribbon-cutting and cake-cutting ceremony led by the Executive Director. A role plays by field staff highlighted the challenges faced by smallholder farmers, including climate change, limited access to resources, and economic constraints. Resource persons emphasized teamwork, scientific approaches, community participation, and transparency in achieving sustainable agricultural development. The event concluded with a commitment to improving the livelihoods of vulnerable farming communities through climate-smart agriculture.
