DMC members trained in Multan

Caritas Pakistan Multan held a training for members of disaster management committees on June 18, 2020.

45 members of 5 Disaster Management Committees of Union Council Jhar and Rangpur District Muzaffargarh attended the program at Boland Hall Multan. Mr. Samuel Clement Executive Secretary CPM welcomed all members and shared that CPM is strengthening community resilience and strengthening their capacities to counter disasters.

Mr. Amir Yaqoob, PC district Muzafargarh delivered a session of community participation in Disaster Risk Reduction process especially the vulnerable groups Persons With Disabilities and others.

This year Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted above normal monsoon rainfall in Sindh, upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab province. Monsoon rainfalls may trigger urban flooding in respective metropolitan cities, it said. District administrations have asked all villagers of river belt areas to move to safer areas as soon as possible.
