Project Title: Improved Community Health with The Provision of Safe Drinking Water & Improved Sanitation Facilities

During the project time frame, Caritas Pakistan have been focusing on improving community health by providing them with access to safe and drinking water and with improved sanitation facilities to all. Awareness sessions and trainings were conducted, IEC material was distributed and special days were celebrated to take all precautionary measures at their level against factors which affect health and hygiene. Construction of toilet and hand pumps benefited communities with the good sanitation approaches and access of safe drinking water for domestic use. These interventions improved their health and hygiene conditions and also cut down their cost of medicine by minimize the spread out of diseases. Caritas Pakistan also introduced solar disinfection techniques for water purification with community stakeholders and also distributed SODIS Material to needy and vulnerable people. Caritas Pakistan constructed 09 toilets and installed 09 hand pumps during the project timeframe.
