More than 300 people have died and 233 have been injured as of 9th September 2020, heavy monsoon rainfall has caused flooding and damages in all Pakistan over the last few days. 138,142 houses have been damaged in six spells of heavy rain.
Caritas Pakistan has launched a rapid response to carryout need assessments and providing essential life-saving supplies to people in need. Our filed staff is based close to the affected areas and has pre-existing relationships and connections with local authorities and the affected communities through Disaster Management Committees and Volunteer groups who rescued many survivors.
