Training of Staff on Volunteer Management 2025
On 16th – 17th September 2025, Caritas Pakistan National Secretariat organized a two-day training workshop on Volunteer Management. The training aimed to strengthen staff capacity in understanding volunteerism, its principles, and effective management in humanitarian and emergency contexts. Sessions covered Caritas Pakistan’s program overview, emergency response mechanisms, roles of national and international stakeholders, and team responsibilities in crisis situations. A major focus was placed on volunteer management, including the definition and types of volunteers, core principles of volunteerism, its importance, good practices, and the role of volunteers in humanitarian response. The training also highlighted the process of becoming a Caritas volunteer and strategies for effective communication with volunteers.
The training ended with closing remarks by Mr. Amjad Gulzar, who commended the participants for their active involvement and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to strengthening humanitarian response through structured volunteer engagement.
