Inauguration of Green Pakistan Nurseries

Caritas Pakistan Lahore (CPL) inaugurated Two Green Pakistan nurseries in honorable presence of Mr. Amjad Gulzar (Executive Director – Caritas Pakistan) along with other guests at Badu Mali and Narowal city under “Green Entrepreneurship Project” on October 26, 2019.

Executive Director appreciated the efforts of the work which is complimented towards His Holiness Pope Francis encyclical “Laudato Si” and said “Such initiatives greatly contribute as a symbol of caring for our common home as the tree plays a vital role in combating climate change and the element of protection of plants should be followed, once they are planted”.

Mr. Atif Peryam (Range Officer Shakirgrah, Punjab Forest department) cherished such initiatives of Caritas and assured their cooperation regarding Climate Action. Mr. Naeem Naz (Diocesan Program Coordinator CPL) expressed his gratitude to Mr. Asad Ullah Sulehria and Mr. Hameed Masih, who offered their lands and would also care for these nurseries, which will produce tree saplings for Tree Plantation Drive of Caritas Pakistan Lahore. He further thanked all the honorable guests, community members, students for their participation.

The honorable guests also planted trees at the nurseries. Tree saplings were distributed to students and were encouraged to plant and care these saplings for making them big trees. Mr. Javed Masih (Diocesan Field Officer-CPL) coordinated these events and played vital role in establishing the Green Pakistan Nurseries.
