Clean Green Pakistan Drive

Caritas Pakistan Lahore (CPL) in collaboration with Albayrak (Waste Management Company) organized clean & green environment drive at Don Bosco High School on October 24, 2019. Mr. Naeem Naz (Diocesan Program Coordinator CPL) highlighted the importance of caring our common home in the light of His Holiness Pope Francis encyclical “Laudato Si’”. Ms. Zarish Yaqood (Project officer CPL) lead the students to recite Laudato Si’ prayer.

Ms. Sadia Rafiq (Assistant Manager Communication – Albayrak) briefed the students about importance of cleanliness so that they can adopt the hygienic habits and play an effective part in the society. Cleanliness awareness leaflets were also distributed among the school children. To discourage the use of polythene shopping bags, Albayrak officials distributed environment-friendly cloth bags among the students and school administration.

All the participants planted 200 tree saplings in school premises. Rev. Sr. Shakila Francis (Principal of Don Bosco High School) appreciated this initiative of Caritas and Albayrak for saving our mother earth.
